Meet Dr. Jamielynn M. Hanam-Jahr – Cosmetic Dentist to Beverly Hills, West L.A., and Malibu
Born and raised in western Pennsylvania, Dr. Jamielynn M. Hanam-Jahr graduated from Monessen High School and received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Duquesne University. After graduation, she worked as a staff and charge nurse in surgical and trauma intensive care units at Presbyterian-University Hospital in Pittsburgh and at the Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans. She began her dental studies at the Louisiana State University Medical Center School of Dentistry and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1995. A skilled restorative and cosmetic dentist, Dr. Jamielynn M. Hanam-Jahr is licensed to practice dentistry in Louisiana and California.
Upon completion of dental school, Dr. Hanam-Jahr worked as an associate dentist in private practice in New Orleans. After relocating to California, she worked as a civilian consultant dentist at McClellan Air Force Base and as an associate dentist in private practice in both Folsom and Sacramento. Since opening her own practice, she has become a leading cosmetic dentist in the Beverly Hills, West L.A., and Malibu community. She has actively pursued quality continuing education courses, including the LSU Cosmetic Continuum and Pacific Aesthetic Continuum-Live courses, acquiring more than 500 credit hours thus far. Additionally, she has certifications in Standard Laser Proficiency from the Academy of Laser Dentistry, invisalign®, and dental implants.
Dr. Jamielynn M. Hanam-Jahr is married to Dr. Jonathan Jahr, an anesthesiologist at the University of California, Los Angeles Medical Center. Together they have two children, Jacob and Rachel, and the family dog, Dolly. Dr. Hanam-Jahr’s leisure interests include music (she plays four instruments) and dance, including ballet, tap, jazz, and Eastern European; she dances as an amateur/semi-professional performer and choreographer as well. She also enjoys gourmet food and wine, movies, fitness, reading and scrapbooking. She is a PTA member and classroom volunteer at Hawthorne Elementary School in Beverly Hills.
