Our Staff
The talented staff at our cosmetic and restorative dentistry office in Beverly Hills, West L.A. is an integral part of providing the exceptional service and treatment for which we have become known. Meet each of our staff members and learn a little bit about the contributions they make to our practice.
Karen Refkin
Karen Refkin was born in Canton, Ohio, and received her Dental Hygiene Certificate and Bachelor of Science in education from Ohio State University. Since moving to California, she has been working as a Registered Dental Hygienist in several general dental and periodontal specialty practices. She also has been a part-time faculty member, teaching hygiene students at the prestigious University of Southern California Dental School for nearly thirty years.
Although she has no children of her own, she loves spending time with them. She volunteers as a camp counselor for children with life-threatening illnesses during one week every summer. She looks forward to helping the children each year just as she has for the past twenty years. In her leisure time, she enjoys theater and taking long weekend walks.
Jill Sabel
Jill Breitman-Sabel was born in West Los Angeles. After graduating from Hamilton High School in 1972, she went on to dental assisting school. In the dental field since 1973, Jill has more than 30 years’ experience as a chairside dental assistant and has also worked in a managerial position for many years. She is pleased to be the Office Manager and enjoys facilitating the best possible dental care experience for our cosmetic and restorative dentistry patients.
Jill is married to her wonderful husband, Rodney, and together they have a daughter, Amanda, and a son, David. She also has a step-daughter, Nicole. Jill has many leisure interests, but is currently kept busy with her family, work, and remodeling her home. She hopes to pursue her more relaxing interests in the near future.
Nancy Gonzalez
Nancy Gonzalez was born and raised in Los Angeles, where she attended school and graduated from John C. Fremont High School in 2000. She went on to attend Bryman College, where she studied dental assisting.
After completion of the program, and internship, she received her certificate to practice as a Dental Assistant. Nancy has been with our West L.A. restorative and cosmetic dentistry practice virtually since her completion of her studies.
Nancy's goals for the future are to continue her studies in the dental field, taking the courses and examinations to become a Registered Dental Assistant. Her favorite leisure activities are scrapbooking and shopping.
